Vice-Rector for Teaching and Deans of Studies

 

The Vice-Rector for Teaching and Learning and the deans of studies in the faculties are assigned an important role in the implementation of the Excellent Teaching institutional strategy. This is expressed in clearly outlined jurisdictions and simultaneously strengthened powers of authority in collaboration with all structural and organizational areas, such as evaluation and collaboration with students. In the Structure and Organization Core Area, the responsibility of the Vice-Rector for Teaching and Learning is identified and determined in the relevant regulations.

Deans of studies should also be strengthend. Their basic responsibilities and resources are determined in a consensus process among the current deans of studies. The goal is to uniformely anchor the responsibilities in the RWTH Aachen faculty regulations.
